Meet The Plastiscines

I’ve always dreamt of being the guitar-toting front woman of a feisty girl band, but as I have no musical talent whatsoever that dream seems to be unfortunately unattainable. Another of my childhood dreams, strange as it sounds, was to be French. When I was about five I used to pretend I was, and spoke French to my family (okay, I didn’t speak proper French: I just spoke in what I thought to be a convincing French accent).
But now it seems that my two childhood dreams have come together in the form of the Plastiscines. An all girl band made up of four French teenagers who met at a Libertines gig and named their band after a line in a Beatles song.
Not only do I love their up beat French-rock tunes (which are mostly performed in English with a very convincing French accent) and wish that I could see them live due to their spirited energy and lively performances, but I’m in love with that laid-back, casual-chic look they’ve got going on. I really wish i could pull off that easy-going, messy hair, 'just got out of bed and threw on the first clothes i could find', rock chick look.
